About the Blog

Szaboka’s Blog is a WordPress-based weblog about everything web design. Every single post on my Blog is unique, hand-crafted and does not appear on any other website. Posts are divided into 6 main categories.

I regularly write comprehensive web design tutorials in Photoshop and Illustrator, and produce step-by-step coding tutorials in HTML5 and CSS3. There are a handful of Photo Editing tutorials, as well as articles about Responsive Web Design.

There are some articles about web design and web development in general. These include theoretical articles, interviews and beginners guides.

I collect and produce freebies that you can use in your own work – according to the Terms of Use – like textures, fonts, UI kits and more.

Every month I create beautiful calendar wallpapers for your desktops. These calendars are crafted to fit any resolution you use.

There are a handful of inspirational articles such as round-ups and collections that help you boost your creativity.

Quick Tips are short tips and tricks that can help you ease your every day web design and web development process.

Website Design

The current look of the Blog (codename Version 5.1) features a responsive design with a minimalistic, flat taste. Read more notes on the current design in the introduction post.

My name is Roland Szabó, also called Szaboka. I’m the owner and editor-in-chief of Szaboka’s Blog. I’m 23 years old, and I currently work as a Web Designer at Higher Click.

I have a passion for websites and web design. I love to see and create pixel-perfect, hand-coded, optimized websites that not only look beautiful but are also easy to use. My favorite styles are flat, minimal and retro.
